The Mind Behind the Madness

Heavy Mental Art is a home for the strange, the surreal, and the wonderfully weird. What started as a personal obsession with monsters, oddities, and the darker corners of imagination has grown into a full range of artwork and merch, including art prints, shirts, stickers, enamel pins, playing cards, and more. Every piece is crafted to bring a bit of chaos, colour, and curiosity into your world.

The brand was born from years of sketching creatures, horror icons, and dreamlike scenes that didn’t fit anywhere else. Drawing became my way of navigating the noise of life, turning anxiety, humour, nostalgia, and nightmares into something bold, expressive, and unmistakably mine. Heavy Mental Art grew naturally from that need to create and share the things that lived in my head, hoping others would connect with the same strange energy. Over the years, I’ve brought that style to murals, official band merch, podcast covers, convention artwork, and more, as well as regularly exhibiting at Australian conventions like the Oddities & Curiosities Expo, Supanova, and Oz Comic-Con.

As an Australian illustrator, I've always been drawn to the stuff hiding under the bed, the things we fear, laugh at, or can’t look away from. My work blends horror influence with psychedelic colours and thick linework. What began as a passion project slowly evolved through conventions, expos, and countless late-night drawing sessions into the brand it is today. Seeing people react, laugh, or get excited about a piece is what pushed me to keep expanding.

Today, Heavy Mental Art is more than just merch, it’s a community of people who love the unusual. Whether I’m travelling for conventions or grinding away in the studio, the goal stays the same: create art that brings weirdness to the world and reminds people that the dark, strange, and weird can be fun. And when the conventions wrap, you’ll usually find me on the porch with a cold drink, catching a breath before diving back into the madness.
