Commercial Work
Tennis Table Public Art Project
I'm truly grateful to have the opportunity to work on awesome projects like this. I was recently commissioned by Georges River Council and Hurstville Museum and Gallery to design and paint two tennis tables and their concrete bases. The tennis tables were manufactured by Popp World
and are ready to be played with in Pole Depot Park and Pankhurst Park.
Tennis Table 1: Free Your Mind
The concept for the first table is about freeing your mind, the giant space whale connecting everything, the blue river in the middle giving a sense of flow and the eel and turtle characters representing doing things you enjoy for a healthy mindset including making art, listening music, martial arts and staying active.
Tennis Table 2: Connected Through Space
The concept for the second table is about connecting with people like over a game of ping pong, the original toucan character in the middle is called zeacan, he represents insight and clarity, the spider and cockatoo characters playing video games and represent connecting with friends and loved ones.
The project was a community collaboration with Head Space and Youth Advocate Member, Jennifer Tyler, who kindly created the awesome eel and turtle characters to represent the community.
Primed, sealed and painted using Dulux weathershield paints, I really enjoyed using their paint. The colours were vibrant, went on thick and smooth and dried quickly.
This truly was a community project!
Lost In Paradise AR Mural
Recently I had the awesome opportunity to design and paint a mural in Parramatta on behalf of Transport for NSW, Vandal Sydney, and We Wonder. Vandal has taken it a step further and brought my art to life using augmented technology! You can scan the QR code on the side of the mural to download an app that'll make the mural animate right before your eyes.
You can find the mural located along the Parramatta River Foreshore right next to Lennox Bridge. The mural itself took about 2 days and was painted with Permaplastik (from Colormaker Industries - thanks guys!). I really enjoyed using this high-quality paint and found it to be thick, smooth, and easy to lay down. This was definitely an experience I'll be holding onto for a while. The experience of live painting and sharing my art with the world is a feeling I've missed and to have it in augmented reality? That's a tick off the bucket list!
Big thank you's to videographer and photographer, Maria from Vandal Sydney, and Luke Hannan from We Wonder, an over-all top bloke who ensured I was well caffeinated and had everything I needed to get this done! I really hope to work with you all again in the future.
FEARAPHOBIA MURAL/MERCH
I had the awesome opportunity to paint a mural for Halloween horror theme park fearaphobiasydney inside one of their haunted attractions back in October last year. This was the first solo mural I've done and had little preparation for it, sketched the idea on paper, then drew the design on the wall with chalk and started painting with acrylic paint. Took about about 7-8 hours of non stop painting and got it done in one day. I’m really proud of how it turned out! I also designed some of their shirts, cap and drink cooler merchandise.
HEX THE BOUNTY HUNTER
In 2019, Lenovo Australia and New Zealand provided me with the opportunity to meet and draw some commissioned fan art of Stephanie Bendixsen as a character in borderlands 3! Check out the video up on Steph's Youtube channel of her interviewing me about how I create my art, here: https://youtu.be/n-iTTFzXTYE
One of the most feared bounty hunters in the galaxy, Hex is a skilled marks woman at long distances and lethal in close quarters. She’s the hunter that always gets paid.
Borderlands is one of my favourite game series and this was so cool and humbling to get the opportunity to participate in.
ART COMPETITIONS
NEXUS CON MERCH COMPETITION
In 2019 I won the NEXUS CON merch competition, where my artwork was then used on posters, shirts, flyers, stickers and events booklets to market the convention.
I also held a store in the artist alley and found the staff to be incredibly friendly and overall had an incredible time. I can’t wait to go back!
VOLUNTEER WORK
In 2020, I volunteered for PINT ONLINE AU 2020, Instagram: Pint Of Science Australia.
Graphic designer Piyathida 'Nicole' Kalamphak completed the layouts and graphic design work, while I drew the illustrations and animations.
You can view the animations for their trivia event at Pint Of Science TRIVIA.
